- Audience Suggestions — Hints that guide automatic targeting; delivery not guaranteed 5.
- Auto-generated Catalog — TikTok-built catalog seeded from an advertiser's pixel signals (non-Shopify only; requires
content_idpassback).

- BC (Business Center) — TikTok's top-level account container that owns catalogs, pixels, apps, and ad accounts.

- Carousel Ad — Catalog-driven ad format that renders product images in a swipeable carousel 3.
- Catalog — Business-Center-scoped asset storing products / hotels / flights / destinations / media titles for promotion. See catalog-fundamentals.
- Catalog Ads — Ads that use catalog data for personalised creative 3.
- Catalog Insights — TikTok-side analytics surface: Trending Products + Trending Categories within an advertiser's catalog.
- Catalog Video — Ad format where TikTok ML picks which advertiser video to serve each user based on product-level signals 3.
- CBO (Campaign Budget Optimization) — TikTok auto-allocates one campaign budget across ad groups.
- Currency Lock — A catalog's currency cannot change after creation.

- Data Connection — TikTok's term for the pixel (web) or app event source bound to a campaign for conversion optimisation.
- Deeplink — App-specific link that opens a specific screen in a native app.
- DSA (Dynamic Showcase Ads) — Legacy name for catalog-driven DPA-style ads on TikTok; now superseded by "Catalog Ads" terminology.

- Event Source — Pixel (web) or app SDK that sends user events back to TikTok; must be bound to a catalog for dynamic creative optimisation to work.

- Feed — Data pipe populating a catalog with products. URL (http/https/ftp/sftp), file, or API-driven.
- Flexible Catalog Ads — Upgraded Smart+ capability letting catalog and non-catalog ads coexist in one campaign by making catalog adoption an ad-level configuration 1. See flexible-catalog-ads-at-ad-level.

- Interactive Add-ons — Overlay UI (e.g. catalog tiles, CTAs) on top of Single Video or Catalog Video ads.

- Smart+ Catalog Ads — Smart+ objective that consumes a catalog; auto-optimises creative, add-ons, and bidding.
- Smart+ Symphony — Gen-AI creative tools inside Upgraded Smart+: Recommended Creatives + Automatic Enhancements 1.
- Spark Ad — Paid ad sourced from an authorised organic TikTok post / account.

- Universal Link — Cross-platform link that opens an app if installed, else a web page.
