Interactive Add-ons
Interactive add-ons are overlay UI elements layered on top of video ads that increase engagement and conversion by letting users interact with the ad in-place. For Catalog Ads, add-ons are dynamically populated with catalog products; for Streaming Ads, Media Card is itself an interactive add-on.
Two contexts
Classic Catalog Ads (Products)
Dynamic add-ons are auto-selected when using Smart+ for Catalog video or Single video formats 1. They pull product tiles from the catalog — user taps a tile, goes to the product page (web or in-app via deeplink/universal link).
Typical add-on types advertisers see: product cards, shop buttons, display cards. TikTok picks per impression based on the Smart+ model.
Streaming Ads (Media Titles)
Media Card is itself an interactive add-on format — auto-scrolling title cards layered on a standard in-feed video 3. Cards show cover image, headline, genre, IMDb rating, CTA.
Why Smart+ auto-selects them
TikTok's pitch: advertisers don't know which add-on will perform best for which creative + audience combination. Smart+ tests and picks dynamically — advertiser gets the benefit without tuning 1.
Overriding
In the Ads Manager composer, advertiser can review which add-ons were auto-selected and swap them. Smart+ Catalog Ads flow surfaces this in the Ads generation section 1.
Sprinklr status
Sprinklr's current composer does not yet expose a review or override surface for auto-selected interactive add-ons on catalog flows (because catalog flows on Upgraded Smart+ aren't supported yet — see gap-analysis-upgraded-smart-catalog-on-sprinklr). When catalog flows ship, the composer should show the Smart+-selected add-ons with an override affordance.
