Open Questions
Things still unresolved before the Sprinklr Upgraded Smart+ Catalog PRD can be finalised. Each entry lists the question, why it matters, and where to look.
1. TikTok early-access gating
Question: what is Sprinklr's partner access state for Upgraded Smart+ Catalog specifically?
Why it matters: TikTok's doc says "this feature may not be available to you yet. Reach out to your TikTok account manager or contact customer support" 1. Rollout schedule determines feature-flag design and launch timing.
Investigate: TikTok partner POC.
2. Smart+ v1 Catalog sunset interplay
Question: Sprinklr's Feb 2026 Smart+ v1 creation deprecation 4 — does that apply to Smart+ v1 Catalog flows today, or is catalog gated differently?
Why it matters: if catalog v1 creation closes before upgraded catalog opens, advertisers with catalog ads will be stranded.
Investigate: Sprinklr release notes + internal tracker.
3. Regional availability
Question: Upgraded Smart+ may gate differently per market (US vs EMEA vs APAC). Do we need per-region fallback logic to Smart+ v1 Catalog?
Why it matters: feature-flag architecture — per-ad-account or per-market flags?
Investigate: TikTok partner docs, account manager.
4. MMP constraint migration
Question: 30-day app re-engagement window is a prereq 2. What's the advertiser migration path if their MMP is on a different window?
Why it matters: dictates the copy and actionability of the MMP preflight card.
Investigate: MMP integration PM; run with 2–3 design partners.
5. Budget strategy × catalog-mix interaction
Question: with Automatic campaign budget, all ad groups must share budget/bid strategies 1. Does this constrain how catalog and non-catalog ads coexist?
Why it matters: determines UX when an advertiser tries to mix catalog and non-catalog under an Automatic budget.
Investigate: sandbox test — create both modes under Automatic budget and observe constraints.
6. Catalog Insights — in this PRD or follow-up?
Question: fold into the MVP or defer to a separate PRD?
Why it matters: scope decision — folding in roughly doubles the UI surface. Defer unless early design partners specifically block on it.
Investigate: prioritisation call with PM leadership.
7. Auto-generated catalogs
Question: onboarding accelerator (non-Shopify only, pixel content_id required) — in-scope or out? 3
Why it matters: lowers the catalog prerequisite bar for advertisers without their own feed. Could be a separate growth play.
Investigate: marketing / advertiser-growth team.
8. Preview link parity
Question: Sprinklr already generates TikTok Ads Manager preview links for Upgraded Smart+ ads 5. Does that flow work unchanged for catalog ads, or does it need a separate integration?
Why it matters: if unchanged, it's free; if separate, it's scope.
Investigate: technical spike against a sandbox account.
