Rahul Dravid
Rahul Dravid (born January 11, 1973) is a former Indian international cricketer who is widely regarded as one of the greatest batsmen in cricket history. Known for his impeccable technique, concentration, and ability to bat for long periods, Dravid was often compared to a wall—earning him the nickname "The Wall." He played 164 Test matches and 344 One Day Internationals (ODIs) for India, scoring over 24,000 international runs 1.

Rahul Dravid was born on January 11, 1973, in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, into an academic family. He attended the Mayo College in Ajmer and showed exceptional cricket talent from a young age. He played for the Karnataka Under-19 team before making his domestic debut for Karnataka in 1992.
His domestic performances—averaging over 60 in first-class cricket—earned him a place in the Indian team in 1996.
International Career
Early Years (1996-2004)
Dravid made his Test debut against England in 1996 and his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 1996. Initially used as a middle-order batsman, he quickly established himself as a key player in the Indian lineup.
